A few weeks ago, I brought the fence piping I purchased to my house to begin working on the coping. I did not expect it to be perfect but wanted to get the pipe close. Since there is no shade in the area where the fence will be placed, I wanted to do as much work in advance as possible
Last night, I took all the pipe, a generator, and my welder out to start work on the fence. I placed one vertical fence post in the ground and added concrete to hold it it place. I did not get there early enough to do both of them before it was dark. However, it gave me a bit of a head start versus just showing up early this morning.
This morning, I placed the second vertical post into the ground, finalized the coping on the first horizontal pipe, and welded it entirely into place. The second vertical fence post was not dry enough for me to continue work so I called it a day. The following picture shows the current condition of the new fence with all of my gear.
I'll likely go back out next weekend to finish up the job. I need to cope the last horizontal pipe, weld it into place, wire wheel all the pipe, drill holes for the gate to mount, and then paint the fence pipe. Ultimately, I'll also need to get some of the welded wire fencing to run along the new fence so it looks identical to the current fencing.
